Today’s meeting signified “Substantial Competition” of the ITOC (Information Technology Operations Center) construction. It is expected that Montgomery College will receive full occupancy from the county inspector by the end of the week. We will keep you posted. IT equipment installs have begun.
The Facilities support groups still have some issues regarding building (ITOC area HVAC equipment) monitoring and control systems. They are working with vendors to resolve and finalize these issues. None of them are show stoppers, nor should they impact IT installs of IT equipment.
Facilities support staff training on these new systems will continue for several weeks.
As built drawings are being completed and will be disseminated by the facilities group to their staff and IT in a few weeks.
Handoff from the construction contractor to Montgomery College Facilities and IT staff will be completed in the next few weeks.
